Switchboard Upgrades
The switchboard is the heart of your home's electrical system, and a lot of older boards were never built for the loads a modern home puts through them. Add solar, a battery or an EV charger to an out-of-date board and you can end up with nuisance tripping at best and a genuine safety risk at worst.
We upgrade older switchboards to current standard, fit proper safety switches on the circuits that need them, and make sure the board can carry everything you are running now and planning to add. It is often the first step before a solar, battery or EV job, and getting it right up front saves headaches later.

Common questions
Do I need a switchboard upgrade?
You might, especially if your board is old, has ceramic fuses, lacks safety switches, or you are adding solar, a battery or an EV charger. We can assess it and tell you straight whether an upgrade is needed.
What are the signs of an old or unsafe board?
Ceramic fuses, no safety switches, frequent tripping, a crowded board with no room for new circuits, or scorching and buzzing are all signs it is time for an upgrade. If in doubt, we will take a look.
Why fit safety switches?
Safety switches cut the power in a fraction of a second if there is a fault, which protects you and your family from electric shock. Modern standards require them on most circuits, and older boards often do not have them.
