How far inland do you actually go?

Our regular inland footprint runs from Woodenbong, Urbenville and Bonalbo through Drake and Tabulam out to Tenterfield and Glen Innes. They are longer runs than our coastal work, so we are upfront about scheduling rather than promising same-week. Give us a call with your address and we will tell you what is realistic.

Is it cheaper to go off-grid than to connect to the grid?

Sometimes, and it is worth getting the numbers before you decide. On a rural block, a new grid connection or a line extension can run into serious money. A properly sized standalone system is a known cost with no ongoing supply charge. We will price both honestly rather than push you either way.

Does solar make sense in cold tablelands weather?

Yes. Panels run on light, not heat, and they are actually more efficient when they are cool. The catch is shorter winter days at the same time as your heating load peaks, so we size tablelands systems around the whole year and usually look harder at storage than we would on the coast.
